Torquepower has a small number of new old stock PC Based Borescopes.
These units are used in our own workshop and in our field service vehicles.
The technology was new at the time we found them (2006) and the manufacturer would only sell us a substantial quantity, rather than the small number we actually required.
The Borscope is powered directly from a USB port in your laptop and the image is viewed on the laptop screen - rather than having to squint into an eye piece. Resolution is quite good and the power of the laptop's battery is plenty to light the four LED lamps mounted around the lens. The maximum diameter of the flexible lens shaft is 10mm.
At the press of a button, you can digitally record a still image to the laptop. Another button triggers the video camera which can similarly provide a digital file for storage, recover or transmission. Light intensity is also controlled on the hand piece.
This is a great workshop tool. It has enabled our technicians to find all sorts of problems within engines without first dismantling them. For workshops this is an especially good tool for photographing Cummins camshaft failures so you can email the captured image along with your quotation to the customer.
We have previously sold some of the extra units to workshops in our area - including the local Cummins branch. We are treating the remainder of our units as redundant stock and we will sell them off at way below cost price on a first-in-best-dressed basis.
Once these few remaining units are gone, there will be no more from us.
Currently, there are four three two units remaining.
Call Neil or Tony now for a once-off opportunity.
