A common mid-life overhaul for your Cummins engine is often referred to as an "Inframe Rebuild" and is supported by the supply of an In-frame Rebuild Kit. Installation of a Cummins In-Frame Rebuild Kit by Torquepower's service department is available as a conditional Fixed Price service.
The basic In-frame Rebuild Kit comprises new pistons, piston pins, cylinder liners and liner seals, piston ring groups, standard sized main bearings and connecting rod bearings, a top gasket set (or VRS set as it is sometimes called), and an oil pan gasket.
Variations to the basic kit are usually available at a slight price premium. For instance, your engine may require oversized cylinder liners or oversized crankshaft bearings. In that case you pay only the difference in price between the standard components and the oversized parts, in addition to the basic kit price. Sometimes that price difference amounts to zero.
So, as the name suggests, an In-frame rebuild includes the installation of the in-frame rebuild kit components into a worn engine in order to give it a new lease of life.
If cylinder liner counter bores require machining in your NT/N14 in your NT/N14 engine, that is done in-house also thereby reducing your off-road time and your loss of earnings.
Torquepower has the experience and specialist tooling to perform your in-frame rebuild or engine mid-life at competitive prices and with full Cummins warranties.
