The Torquepower Service Department has one dedicated lube service bay that uses a 12.5 tonne capacity BendPak HCV hoist allowing fast, easy and convenient access for the technician and a perfect opportunity to find those odd problems lurking under the vehicle. This hoist is complemented by a set of Enduroquip mobile hoists - very handy for removing transmissions and differentials also.
The workshop otherwise is very well appointed with everything needed to service the needs of the heavy truck market - and more. It has what is possibly the widest range of Cummins specialist tooling in the country.
Technicians use the latest electronic based troubleshooting tools from Cummins as well as Cummins Incal for ECM programming. Torquepower is often called upon to provide specialist support services to other lesser equipped workshops in the area as the need rises.
Dedicated engine rebuild areas with Bacharach engine rollover stands enable professional engine overhaul out-of-chassis and a sub component rebuild area can address any Cummins sub-assembly off the engine.
A fully equipped fuel injection overhaul facility for Cummins PT fuel systems is also right on site. This allows fast check and repair of your fuel pumps and injectors without them leaving the building. It also provides fully overhauled service exchange stock for the parts department.
In-frame and out-of-chassis cylinder block counter bore repairs are also available in-house. This enables us to expedite the repair on your vehicle rather than waiting for Cummins to have a suitably qualified man and the counter bore tooling, available for field support - a service which in their busy periods, has previously held up our customers for days at a time.
The service department also used ultra violet lighting and fluorescent dyes in fuel, oil and coolants to identify the source of troublesome fluid leaks.
